Holiday times around Our Sweetly Spiced Life get pretty hectic (I’m sure many of you can relate). Between the cooking, the holidays, and seeing friends and family, there’s so much to do and never enough time in which to do it. Because of this, we need quick, simple meals. Smoothies are great breakfasts that go together fast and start the morning off right with lots of wonderful, healthy fruits.
This time of year also means that it’s CRANBERRY SEASON (I know, I know, try to hold in your excitement)! We use these bright berries in so many different recipes and always make sure we have several bags on hand. We’ll even stock up with several bags and keep them in the freezer to use throughout the year. We’ve already bought 3 Costco-sized bags of them to use!
I added mango to this recipe, giving it a burst of tropical flavor that perfectly accents the bright cranberries while offsetting some of the tartness. Add an apple to bring in some natural sweetness and finish it off with some coconut water and a splash of lime juice for a smoothie that you’ll be coming back to again and again.
