Whiskey Cocktails for Fall and Cooler Weather
School is back in session, the weather is starting to change a little towards fall, and fall flavors are showing up everywhere in stores and restaurants. We’re bringing you a whiskey cocktail for fall with this cranberry vanilla whiskey cocktail recipe; it’s a perfect drink for sitting around a bonfire, for playing lawn games with friends and family, or for just sipping and watching the leaves change.
We love spending time outside when the weather starts to get cooler. Whether it’s enjoying time outside throwing a Frisbee, going to festivals, or just sitting around a bonfire on cool fall nights, we try to spend as much time as possible outdoors during this season (even if the allergies almost kill Joelle at times). Having go-to cocktail drinks, especially ones that don’t take a lot of effort to mix up, is great for the fall season. We can mix up a glass and enjoy it outdoors and with people we care about.
This drink was originally introduced to us in college as a Red Snapper shot. It had Crown Whiskey, cranberry juice, and Disaronno Amaretto Liqueur. We enjoyed it then are bringing it here to you as a cocktail. Crown Black Whiskey works well in this drink, but using the Crown Vanilla really sets it off. Mix one up, pour it over ice, garnish with an orange peel, and enjoy.
Why We Love this Cranberry Vanilla Whiskey Cocktail
We have always been big fans of Crown whiskey and immediately were hooked when they released their Crown vanilla. If you’re wondering what crown vanilla mixes with, this is the perfect cocktail for you. Combining it here with amaretto and cranberry gives a sweet but not too sweet taste of fall. Having a 3-ingredient whiskey cocktail that can be mixed up in seconds means you can enjoy a delicious cocktail but still focus on time with friends or family or enjoying the fall weather. Better still is that these are ingredients that we can easily have on hand in the bar; buy some cans of cranberry juice and they’ll be ready for you whenever you want to mix up this cranberry vanilla whiskey cocktail recipe.
This is such an easy whiskey cocktail for fall or winter; you can mix up a drink for yourself or for a friend in a matter of seconds. Or scale up this recipe and make a big batch to share with friends or for a party. I highly recommend using Crown Vanilla Whiskey and using Disaronno, as I think these set this cocktail off and really make it special, but it can be made with a different amaretto liqueur and/or a different vanilla whiskey. Crown black works well in this, too, but doesn’t have the added vanilla flavor to it.
Mix up this easy delicious cranberry vanilla whiskey cocktail for fall featuring Crown Vanilla, Disaronno, and cranberry juice. Make one to enjoy on your own or make a batch to share with family and friends!
Ingredients
Scale
1 oz Crown Vanilla Whiskey
1 oz Disaronno Amaretto Liqueur
1.5 oz Cranberry Juice
Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a rocks glass
Add ice
Garnish with an orange peel

Notes
I recommend using no sugar added cranberry juice in this recipe. If you are using cranberry juice with sugar added, start with less juice to begin with and adjust based on desired sweetness level.
