Spiced Date Breakfast Smoothie

Description

This smoothie is really easy to throw together and tastes amazing. Nut milk and bananas form a base that is kicked up with sesame seeds, cardamom, star anise, vanilla, and cinnamon and then sweetened with dates. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 C unsweetened almond milk (or unsweetened coconut almond blend)
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 8 medjool dates
  • 4 green cardamom pods (seeds removed for use; pods discarded)
  • 1/2 star anise
  • 2 Tbsp white sesame seeds 
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to blender.
  2. Blend and enjoy!
