We desperately need to start staying on track with our meal plans, and the idea behind this project couldn’t be simpler. Glass makes a fantastic dry erase surface, so grab an 8×10 picture frame, print out one of our free menu boards, grab a dry erase marker, and that’s it! To help make this process super simple for you, I created 8 different menu board templates; hopefully you’ll find one you like!
We achieved the look of this coat rack by first painting a design with white acrylic paint. After one coat of paint, we then stained over the entire piece with a rich cobalt blue stain, giving the white paint a light blueish tinge. It took very little work and minimal hands-on time, and since we had all but the coat hooks lying around the garage, this project was also super cheap! Bonus!
I’ve been wanting to make a bottle cap catch for a long time; we’ve had a bottle opener mounted over by our bar for awhile but have always just caught the cap in our hand and then stored them away. We finally had some time to work on some DIYs, so we got to work.
This cut paper DIY piece starts with a coloring book page because I possess literally zero drawing ability whatsoever but have several coloring books lying around. With some time, patience, and just a few cheap materials, you’ll have a fun, unique hanging to start filling those empty wall spaces!
I’m not really sure who or what got me into wearing ties, but over the years I have amassed quite a collection in different colors and patterns. All told I think I have more than 100 of them (yes, I do wear them all). This tie rack should hold 24-28 ties, depending on the width and thickness of the ties and on how much space you want between them. If you aren’t a tie kind of person, this makes a great storage shelf that can be used for just about anything!

As you may know, I’ve been working on decorating my studio, and this mini bud vase makes a perfect addition to a fairly bare spot on my ladder bookshelf. It took me years to embrace gold (I’ve been a staunch silver girl for years), in both jewelry and decor, but I finally have and tend towards using gold elements most often with whites and pinks, a perfect complement to the colors already in my studio.
When one of our best friends turned a spare room into an old school video game hangout, we knew we’d found the perfect DIY furniture project for our college bottle cap stash! This sofa table has a shelf for holding DVDs or video games, making it both practical and totally awesome!
